Security chaos in regime-held areas | Young man killed in armed clashes in western countryside of Al-Suwaidaa
Al-Suwaidaa province: A young man in his twenties, from Labin village in Al-Suwaidaa countryside, was killed after armed clashes that erupted on the night of Friday-Saturday, at Al-Hajj road junction, west of Al-Suwaidaa city, where the young man was shot several times, and the reasons and motives for the incident are still unknown until now.
These incidents come in light of the security chaos and the spread of weapons in regime-held areas.
The Syrian Observatory has documented 279 murders in regime-controlled areas since early 2024, where domestic violence and armed robberies were behind some of these murders, while motives behind the others remained unknown. These murder crimes left 311 fatalities: 19 children, 58 women and 234 young and adult men. The fatalities are distributed regionally as follows:
Daraa: 89 murder crimes left 82 men, six children and 13 women dead.
Rif Dimashq: 50 murder crimes left 40 men, four children and 11 women dead.
Homs: 26 murder crimes left 23 men, a little girl and three women dead.
Al-Suwaidaa: 27 murder crimes left 20 men, two children and seven women dead.
Hama: 18 murder crimes left 13 men, six women and two children dead.
Tartus: 13 murder crimes left 11 men, a child and a woman dead.
Deir Ezzor: 15 murder crimes left 13 men and six women dead.
Damascus: Ten murder crimes left two women and nine men dead.
Latakia: 12 murder crimes left nine men, three women and two children dead.
Aleppo: 15 murder crimes left 11 men, five women and a child dead.
Al-Hasakah: Two murder crimes left two men dead.
Al-Quneitra: Two murder crime left a man dead
