To demand release of young men” | Young man kid*napped on highway between Damascus and Daraa

Daraa province: A young man from Namir Town in Daraa countryside on the highway between Damascus and Daraa was kidnapped and taken towards Al-Lojaa area in Daraa countryside, where the kidnappers contacted the family of the young man demanding the release of two people from the area who were arrested three days ago, during an operation by the Russian-backed Eighth Brigade on camps of Bedouin tribes between Namir and Maliha Al-Atash Towns in eastern Daraa countryside for “stealing a car.”

On October 26, a gang released a young man from Inkhil city, north of Daraa, more than 20 days after kidnapping him, after paying a ransom of 10 thousand USD. The young man was kidnapped at the beginning of this month from his agricultural project east of Al-Dali village in the northern countryside of Daraa.

Against this backdrop, the young man’s relatives detained eight members of the Bedouin tribes, in addition to a car, as a means of pressure to force the kidnappers to release him, after accusing some Bedouin members of involvement in the kidnapping incident. The detainees were later released.
