Coming from Iraq | Israeli air-defences attempt to intercept drone flying over western Daraa countryside

Daraa province: SOHR sources have reported hearing loud explosions in Yarmouk Basin area in western Daraa countryside, as a result of an attempt by Israeli air-defences to intercept a drone entered Syrian airspace from Iraq to reach the occupied Syrian Golan.

On October 20, SOHR sources reported that Israeli Air Defences intercepted a drone launched by Iran-backed Iraqi groups from Iraqi territory.

The drone flew over Al-Tanf Base in eastern of Syria, and was shot down in Jalma Village in Daraa countryside, two kilometres away from the occupied Al-Golan.

On October 18, the Israeli Airforce Defences in the occupied Al-Golan targeted two drones launched by the “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” from Iraq through Syrian territory, in Hawd Al-Yarmouk area near the occupied Al-Golan, where the drones passed Syrian territory without being intercepted by Airforce Defences of the “International Coalition” in “Al-Tanf” base.
