Belonging to “Al-Qaterji” militia | ISIS attacks oil truck in western Deir Ezzor
Deir Ezzor province: Gunmen of ISIS cells opened machinegun fire on an oil truck belonging to “Al-Qaterji” militia near the SDF-controlled village of Al-Makaman in Abu Khashab area in western Deir Ezzor. The attack left the truck driver injured and caused damage to the truck.
SOHR has documented 207 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks, executions and explosions targeting military and security forces, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 95 fatalities:
- 61 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.
- 12 ISIS members.
- 22 civilians, including a child, a witch and four guards of civil institutions.
These operations are distributed regionally as follows:
- Deir Ezzor: 179 attacks left 44 combatants, 16 civilians, including a child, a witch and a young woman, and eight ISIS members dead.
- Al-Hasakah: 14 attacks left ten combatants, four ISIS members and a civilian dead.
- Al-Raqqah: 13 attacks left seven combatants and five civilians, including four guards of civil institutions of the Autonomous Administration, dead.
- Aleppo: One operation left no fatalities.
