To stop transportation of weapons | Israel has targeted borders between Syria and Lebanon 14 times in 72 hours

Israel continues its war on legal and illegal crossing between Syria and Lebanon to cut supply lines of Lebanese “Hezbollah” to prevent transportation of weapons from Syria, where Israel has targeted legal and illegal borders 14 times in areas of Al-Qaseer countryside and Rif Dimashq.

Israel continues its escalation on the Syria-Lebanon border by launching airstrikes targeting several positions and points near the crossings that connect the two countries.
This coincided with heavy attacks carried out by Israeli forces on Lebanon, which have resulted in the displacement of thousands of civilians into Syria through those crossings.
Israeli fighter jets carried out an airstrike targeting a vehicle near Kfair Yabus area in Rif Dimashq, a few kilometres from the Lebanon border, which left two unidentified persons killed.
This is the fourth airstrikes of its kind within 24 hours and also the fourth since the beginning of the Israeli escalation against Lebanon five days ago.

Meanwhile, an Israeli airstrike attacked another military position, in the early hours of Friday morning, in Kafir Yabus area, leaving five members of regime’s board guard dead and another injured.
Yesterday, Israeli fighter jets attacked the vicinity of Hawsh Al-Said Ali that is used by “Hezbollah” for transportation between Syria and Lebanon. However, no casualties were reported.
Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike targeting Matraba crossing, which links Al-Qusayr area in the Syrian side to Lebanese territory, resulting in a number of casualties. It is noted that this is the first Israeli raid targeting Syrian territory since the beginning of Israel’s last escalation of Lebanon four days ago.
SOHR documented 83 attacks in 2024: 66 airstrikes and 17 rocket attacks by ground forces, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 157 targets, including buildings, weapons and ammunitions warehouses, headquarters, centres and vehicles. These strikes killed 220 combatants and injured 157 others. The fatalities are distributed as follows:

* 24 Iranian members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

* 43 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.

* 19 Iraqi persons.

* 59 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen.

* 17 Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen.

* 52 regime soldiers.

* Five unidentified persons.

* Syrian person of Palestinian roots.

In addition, those attacks left 24 civilians, including a little girl and five women, dead and nearly 36 other civilians injured.

It is worth noting that one of those attacks killed Baraa Al-Qaterji, a prominent businessman close to Iranians, and his cousin.

The attacks are distributed regionally as follows:

* Damascus and Rif Dimashq: 34 attacks.

* Daraa: 16 attacks.

* Homs: 17 attacks.

* Al-Quneitra: Eight attacks.

* Tartus: Three attack.

* Deir Ezzor: One attack.

* Aleppo: Two attacks.

SOHR would like to point out that Israel sometimes targeted more than one province in a single attack.
