After being strangled to dea*th | Body of young man found in front of house of his brother in Al-Raqqa

Al-Raqqa province: Residents found the body of a young man was found strangled in front of his brother’s house in the market of Al-Tabaka Central City western of Al-Raqqa, with no information regarding the reasons of the crime, while concerned authorities started investigating the crime.

The Syrian Observatory has documented 106 murder crimes in SDF-controlled areas since early 2024, where domestic violence and armed robbery were behind some of these murders, while motivations behind the others remained unknown. These murders left 114 civilian fatalities, including 84 men, 11 children and 18 women; they are distributed regionally as follows:

• Al-Hasakah: 31 civilians, including four children and seven women.

• Deir Ezzor: 38 civilians, including three children and five women.

• Al-Raqqah: 30 civilians, including four children and four women.

• Aleppo: 12 civilians; 11 civilians, including a woman, in Manbij and a man in Ain Al-Arab (Kobani).
