To counter Iranian threats | Significant ground and air reinforcements for “International Coalition” forces arrive in northeastern Syria since beginning of September
As part of strengthening their military presence in northeastern Syria, the “International Coalition” forces led by the US sent ground and air reinforcements to their bases in Al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor during September. The reinforcements included armoured vehicles, logistical equipment and soldiers, in addition to air reinforcements. Since the beginning of the month, 50 closed trucks have arrived to military bases in the countryside of Al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor, while five cargo planes, loaded with logistical equipment, weapons and soldiers, have landed mostly at bases in the countryside of Al-Hasakah.
It is noted that in the 119th month of International Coalition operations in Syria, nearly 150 trucks and vehicles affiliated to the Coalition, carrying military and logistical supplies, crossed into Syria from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq in five batches on the 28th of July and the 3rd, 7th, 20th and 21st of August. The trucks headed to the Coalition’s military bases in Al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor in north-east Syria region, in addition to the arrival of nearly ten cargo planes and helicopters in bases in Al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor in the past month. The cargo aircraft carried military and logistical supplies and soldiers.
