In an infinite toll | 18 people including four civilians ki*lled as result of intensive Israeli strikes on Hama countryside
The death toll has increased to 18 people, including four civilians, eight Syrian combatants, who are not known whether they are part of the regime forces or Syrians working with the Iranian-backed militias and six unidentified persons so far, in addition to the injury of at least 32 others, as a result of the intensive Israeli strikes that targeted Musyaf area in the south-western countryside of Hama. The strikes targeted the scientific research area in Musyaf, Hayr Al-Abbas site and two other sites in the Al-Zawi area in Musyaf countryside, which led to the outbreak of fires in the targeted sites, in addition to a floating object at sea off the coast of Baniyas.
The strikes also resulted in the destruction of buildings and military centres, and the outbreak of fires in the forested areas on Musyaf-Wadi Al-Ouyun road and Hayr Al-Abbas area. Some air defence missiles fell in residential areas, causing material damage to inhabited villages and farms, including the village of Samakah, in Khirbet Al-Maazah district in Tartous countryside, and the suburb of Al-Majd.
SOHR documented 64 attacks in 2024: 47 airstrikes and 17 rocket attacks by ground forces, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 140 targets, including buildings, weapons and ammunitions warehouses, headquarters, centres and vehicles. These strikes killed 205 combatants and injured 142 others. The fatalities are distributed as follows:
* 24 Iranian members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
* 38 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
* 18 Iraqi persons.
* 48 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen.
* 17 Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen.
* 50 regime soldiers.
* Six unidentified people.
In addition, those attacks left 24 civilians, including a little girl and four women, dead and nearly 36 other civilians injured.
The attacks are distributed regionally as follows:
