New round of airstrikes | Russian fighter jets execute several airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in Homs desert
Russian fighter jets executed several airstrikes on ISIS hideouts and supply lines in Al-Sukhnah and Palmyra deserts in eastern Homs countryside.
This comes in light of escalating attacks by ISIS members on positions of regime forces in several areas in the Syrian desert.
On July 27, SOHR sources reported that Russian warplanes carried out intensive airstrikes on “ISIS” positions in Palmyra and Al-Sukhnah deserts in the eastern countryside of Homs, after monitoring and following the movements of “ISIS” in the area, while no causalities were reported.
The Syrian desert has recently witnessed a noticeable decline in the number of Russian raids on “ISIS” positions, after Russian forces intensified their strikes during the past month, by launching more than 100 airstrikes targeting “ISIS” positions in Hama, Homs, Deir Ezzor and Al-Raqqah deserts.
