A few days after meeting attended by Iranian-backed commanders | Military reinforcement arrives in positions opposite SDF-held areas

SOHR sources reported seeing regime soldiers and Iranian-backed militias putting high alert in different areas in Deir Ezzor countryside opposite SDF-held areas on the eastern bank of Euphrates river. This coincided with the arrival of military reinforcement in the region following the meeting which was held on June 12and attended by officials and commanders in Iranian-backed militias. The meeting was followed by several field tours in the region by Haj Askar, the commander responsible for military and security affairs of Iranian-backed militias, along with meetings held by Haj Askar with tribal elders to work on forming a joint operations room.

On June 13, SOHR sources reported that the official responsible for military operations in Iranian-backed militias, “Haj Amin,” visited Al-Bokamal city today, after having his tour in Al-Mayadeen a day earlier.

In Al-Bokamal, “Haj Amin” met with commanders of Iranian-backed militias, including Haj Askar, Haj Mas’oud, Haj Karbalaa and Abu Issa Al-Hamaan the leader of the 47th Regiment which is affiliated to Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

During the meeting, the commanders discussed the field situation in the region in light of the escalating attacks by ISIS in Al-Bokamal desert.

Commanders of Iranian-backed militias operating in Al-Bokamal asked for bringing military reinforcement and militiamen to cover the shortage in the ranks of Iranian-backed militias in that region.
