Deir Ezzor | Unidentified gunmen shoot member of NDF dead in western countryside
Deir Ezzor province: A member of National Defence was shot dead by members of a gang after raiding his house in Al-Khareitah town in western Deir Ezzor countryside within areas controlled by regime-held areas. The gunmen stole gold jewelry and fled to an unknown destination, while the dead man’s family accused members of another family of killing him.
On April 8, SOHR sources reported that three members of IRGC of Syrian nationality were shot dead by gunmen, after storming a military post on the outskirts of Al-Mayadeen city, “the capital of the Iranian militias in eastern Syria”, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor on the desert side. The members hailed from Hatlah town, which has a “Shiite” majority, and one of the seven villages east of the Euphrates, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where jihadist gunmen carried out a massacre in 2013, that resulted in the death of 60 people, the majority of whom were armed members of the “Shiite sect”, where the bodies were taken to the hospital, without knowing who was behind their killing.
