Old ordnance | Civilian injured in landmine explosion in Homs countryside
SOHR activists have documented the injury of a 50 years old civilian from Qaryat village, due to the explosion of an old landmine at Al-Ghayda village in Talkalakh countryside western of Homs city, and he was transported to Al-Bassel Hospital to receive proper medication.
Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 128 civilians, including ten women and 55 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 195 civilians, including 11 women and 100 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
