New massacre | Iranian militias kill 11 civilians, steal sheep and set fire to several houses in eastern Homs

Syrian Observatory activists have documented a new massacre carried out by Iranian-backed militias in the Syrian desert, when storming civilian houses in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Al-Refa’I village in Jabal Al-Aamour area in the eastern countryside of Homs.

The Iranian-backed militias opened fire on civilians in these houses, killing 11 civilians at least, including four women, and injuring over 15 others, some seriously.

After the attack, the militias looted the contents of these houses, set them on,  and stole sheep.

On September 29, Syrian Observatory sources reported that gunmen Iranian-backed militias stationed in Al-Fasedah area in south-eastern Al-Sa’an in Hama desert, opened machinegun fire on civilians shepherding sheep in the area. The attack resulted in the death of at least nine people, while seven others were injured, some seriously.

 

While on June 16, the Syrian desert experienced a similar massacre executed by regime-backed militias against civilian shepherds, while ISIS was always blamed for such massacres. SOHR sources reported at that time that unidentified gunmen killed four shepherds, stole their sheep and set agricultural crops on fire, in Badiyat al-Ghanem al-Ali area controlled by regime forces and loyalists in eastern Al-Raqqa province.
