ISIS controls al-Ramadi and the violent clashes leave about 30 casualties of its members and Syrian and non-Syrian allies of the regime
Deir Ezzor province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the clashes continue at a violent pace in areas on the west banks of Euphrates River in the eastern sector of Euphrates River, between the regime forces supported by the gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the “Islamic State” organization, in continuous attacks carried out by members of the organization on sites and points of the regime forces and allies in the area, where the clashes between both parties are concentrated inside the towns of Hasrat and Ramadi, where in which the organization advanced and managed to achieve control in both of them, the clashes were accompanied by exchange of targeting and consecutive shelling by the regime forces on the area, and the constant clashes have caused more human losses, where it rose to at least 16, the number of members of the gunmen loyal to the regime of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, also it rose to 12 at least, the number of ISIS members who were killed in the same clashes; which enabled it to transport members from the east of Euphrates to its west.
This attack came hours after a violent attack targeted the regime west of Euphrates, and the two attacks were carried out from 2 areas, one of which was launched from the desert of Ezzor while the other one from the outskirts of al-Shafa area and Abu al-Hasan area adjacent to it east of Euphrates, after which tens of members managed to move from the east bank of the river to its west bank, after the organization imposed its presence in the areas of al-Ramadi, Hasrat, al-Baq’aan, and al-Jala’a, opposite to al-Sha’fa town and Abu al-Hasan area, and the clashes in the west of Euphrates are accompanied with the flight of warplanes in the area, amid shelling exchange in the clash areas between both parties, and the clashes caused the killing of at least 11 members of the gunmen loyal to the regime of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, while at least 8 members of the organization were killed in the same clashes, which enabled it to transport its members from the east of the Euphrates to its west.
And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained few days ago information from several reliable sources, reporting that about 400 fighter of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, have crossed from the enclave east Euphrates -which is surrounded by the Syria Democratic Forces who are supported by the International Coalition- to the west of Euphrates River in the form of groups, where they are crossing from al-Shafa area, after intense shelling by the “Islamic State” Organization on areas controlled by the regime and its loyal gunmen west of Euphrates River.
And with more casualties, it rose to 1090, the number of deaths of both parties who have been documented by the Syrian Observatory, in the provinces of Damascus, Deir Ezzor and Homs, where it rose to 657, the number of members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them who were killed in 2 months of clashes in al-Bokamal Desert, the countryside of Deir Ezzor, south of the capital Damascus and the eastern outskirts of Homs, where 2 thirds of them were killed in the south of Damascus, also it rose to 433 at least, the number of members of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in the same battles, since the recovery of the Organization in the 13th of March 2018, also tens of others of both parties were killed and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, in addition to the presence of missing members and captives in the ranks of the both parties, and among the total number of casualties the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of at least 123 members of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, 2 of them were executed and 9 of them are of the Russian Forces, during clashes and confrontations accompanied by detonating members of the “Islamic State” organization for themselves suing booby trapped vehicle and explosive belts in the clash sites, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 62 members of the organization in these clashes, which have been carried out out-of-a-sudden in the eastern countryside of Homs and Deir Ezzor since the 22nd of May 2018 until today.
