Killing an injuring nearly 200 combatants and civilians | Israeli forces attack Syrian territory on 77 occasions in 45 days
Since the beginning of military escalation in southern Lebanon on September 26, Israeli forces have escalated their strikes on Syrian territories through executing intensive airstrikes and violent bombardment by ground forces, targeting regime barracks, positions and headquarters.
Those strikes have also targeted weapons ware houses and military positions and individuals believed to be affiliated with members and commanders of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
During this period, since the beginning of military escalation in Lebanon, Israeli forces focused mainly on official and unofficial crossings on the Syria-Lebanon border, attempting to cut off supply routes to the Lebanese Hezbollah and prevent the delivery of weapons from Syria to Lebanon.
Those attacks left many casualties among civilians and combatants and caused considerable material damage.
According to SOHR statistics, Israeli forces carried out 77 attacks since September 26: 68 airstrikes and nine rocket attacks by ground forces, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 116 targets. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) strongly condemns the killing of Syrian people and damaging their properties under the pretext of “fighting Iranian forces.” We also renew our calls to expel Iranian forces and their proxy militias from Syria as soon as possible.
