Affected by their injuries in earlier US attack | Two members of Iranian-backed local groups die in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: Two members of Iranian-backed group, led by “Hassan Al-Ghadhan,” died affected by the injury they sustained on October 31, due to an attack carried out by US forces on their positions near Deir Ezzor military airport.
The attack also left several members injured.

On October 31, SOHR sources reported that US forces stationed in the Coalition base in Al-Omar oil field in Deir Ezzor countryside fired high-explosive missiles on positions of Iranian-backed militias near Deir Ezzor airport and the villages of Huwayjat Sakr and Al-Meray’iyah in Deir Ezzor countryside. However, no casualties have been reported.

It is worth noting that the Syrian regime took control over the area and instructed the forces to stop activities of Iranian militias to prevent attacks on US base in Syria to avoid war with Israel.

The US forces focused their operations on the seven villages in Deir Ezzor countryside: Al-Salihiyah, Hatlah, Khasham, Marat, Tabiyah, Mazloum and Al-Huseiniyah, which are held by the regime forces and include local members linked to the Iranian militias. These villages are subjected to daily shelling with heavy artillery under the pretext of the presence of Iranian-backed gunmen who target US bases near the area.
