Syrian desert | Russian warplanes launch airstrikes on “ISIS” hideouts

Today, Russian warplanes carried out several airstrikes on “ISIS” hideouts in the Syrian desert. The strikes concentrated in Al-Rusafah desert at Homs-Raqqa-Deir Ezzor triangle, while no information has been received about causalities.
The raids come at a time when different areas of the Syrian desert are witnessing significant activity by “ISIS” cells that are launching violent armed attacks on regime forces’ positions.
On November 3, Russian fighter jets executed several airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in eastern Homs desert, Al-Raqqah and Deir Ezzor deserts, Al-Bashri area in western Deir Ezzor countryside, Palmyra- Al-Sukhnah area in eastern Homs countryside and Al-Rusafah area in western Al-Raqqah desert. However, no casualties have been reported.
These strikes coincided with a remarkable escalation by “ISIS” cells and the intensification of their attacks against regime forces in various areas of the Syrian desert.
