To inspect damage caused by Turkish attacks | US patrol arrives at oil station near Syrian-Turkish border in Al-Qamishli countryside
Al-Hasakah province: An US patrol consisting of four armoured vehicles arrived at Saeidah oil station, northeast of Al-Qahtaniyah city in Al-Qamishli countryside, to inspect the damage caused by the Turkish bombing of the station on October 24.
It is noted that the station is less than one kilometre away from the Turkish-Syrian border
The Turkish attacks have disastrously affected the lives of residents of northeastern Syria, and have exacerbated the humanitarian crisis, as a result of damage to power stations, oil and gas facilities, health centres, factories and other civilian facilities in northeastern Syria, at a time when the area is suffering from a deteriorating economy and decaying infrastructure.
Since October 23, the number of airstrikes carried out by the Turkish Air Force has risen to 87 strikes targeting northern and eastern Syria: 78 raids using drones, nine using warplanes, in addition to the intensive ground bombardment that targeted several areas.
The Turkish strikes targeted 33 vital facilities and centres in northeastern Syria, in addition to military sites and checkpoints.
Since Wednesday, October 23, the Turkish forces have focused their attacks on the infrastructure, targeting water, gas and electricity stations, bakeries, grain silos and clinics. The bombing extended to include the countryside of Hasakah and Aleppo. The Turkish escalation by land and air resulted in the killing of 17 civilians and the injury of 59 others
