Security chaos | Civilian mur*ders his brother following disputes in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: Two brothers from Gharanij Town fought due to old disputes between them, where one of the brothers shot his brother with his gun, and he was severely injured before dying in Gharanij Town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside in SDF-held areas.

The Syrian Observatory has documented 113 murder crimes in SDF-controlled areas since early 2024, where domestic violence and armed robbery were behind some of these murders, while motivations behind the others remained unknown. These murders left 120 civilian fatalities, including 91 men, 11 children and 17 women; they are distributed regionally as follows:

• Al-Hasakah: 33 civilians, including four children and seven women.

• Deir Ezzor: 42 civilians, including three children and four women.

• Al-Raqqah: 33 civilians, including four children and four women.

• Aleppo: 12 civilians; 11 civilians, including two women in Manbij and a man in Ain Al-Arab (Kobani).
