Damascus | Violent clashes erupt between unknown gunmen and military inte*lligence service, leaving two gunmen de*ad
Damascus province: SOHR sources have reported that violent clashes erupted between members of the military intelligence branch and a group of unknown gunmen in Al-Dahalyll area in the capital Damascus following an attempt by members of a security patrol to arrest the group’s members who reacted by throwing grenades at the patrol. The clashes between both sides left two gunmen dead.
Members of the patrol arrested a woman who was with the group and seized weapons, explosive grenades and explosive belts on the possession of the armed group. The operation followed surveillance of the group’s movements, as they were planning to carry out operations in Damascus and Rif Dimashq.
On October 24, SOHR sources reported that an IED exploded in a car on the main road near Youssef Al-Adhmah district in Rif Dimashq, injuring a man who was inside the car, and he was taken to the hospital.
On September 30, SOHR sources reported that a person accused of “collaborating with Lebanese Hezbollah” was killed in an IED explosion in Al-Danajy Town in southern Rif Dimashq.
