From “Koniko” field | US forces shell two sites in areas held by Iranian militias in Deir Ezzor countryside
Deir Ezzor province: yesterday evening, US forces fired heavy artillery shells from their base in “Koniko” gas field in Deir Ezzor countryside, on areas held by the regime forces and Iranian militias, where they targeted sites in the towns of Khasham and Marat in Deir Ezzor countryside, amid a state of deployment by the militias, while no causalities were reported.
The shelling comes in light of the mutual targeting between the “International Coalition” forces on the one hand, and the Iranian militias on the other hand in the areas west of the Euphrates.
On October 24, International Coalition Forces stationed in the base in Koniko gas field shelled positions of Iranian-backed militias in the “Seven Villages” area in Deir Ezzor countryside. However, no further details have been reported yet about the number of casualties and material damage caused by the recent bombardment.
