In protest against Turkish escalation | Residents demonstrate and protest denouncing attacks on vital facilities and centres in northeastern Syria

Residents of northeastern Syria demonstrated at several points in protest against the Turkish escalation and the Turkish forces’ deliberate targeting of infrastructure and vital centres in their areas.
SOHR recorded a point of demonstration and protest in each of “in front of the UN building in Al-Qamishli, Derbasiyah, the camps of Sere Kaniyeh and Washokani in Al-Hasakah countryside and in front of the Russian base in Arimah town in Al-Bab countryside, east of Aleppo.”
The residents denounced the Turkish bombing and the Russian silence regarding these attacks.
Since October 23, the number of airstrikes carried out by the Turkish Air Force has risen to 87 strikes targeting northern and eastern Syria: 78 raids using drones, nine using warplanes, in addition to the intensive ground bombardment that targeted several areas.
The Turkish strikes targeted 33 vital facilities and centres in northeastern Syria, in addition to military sites and checkpoints.
Since Wednesday, October 23, the Turkish forces have focused their attacks on the infrastructure, targeting water, gas and electricity stations, bakeries, grain silos and clinics. The bombing extended to include the countryside of Hasakah and Aleppo. The Turkish escalation by land and air resulted in the killing of 17 civilians and the injury of 59 others.
