Rocket fire | Turkish bases in N and E Syria come under attack

Aleppo province: Rockets fired from areas where Kurdish and regime forces are stationed in the northern countryside of Aleppo hit Turkish bases in Anab, Al-Baldaq, Al-Khalidiyah, Shawa and Qabaseen in “Euphrates Shield” area in Aleppo countryside. However, no casualties have been reported, while the severity of material damage caused by the recent attack remains unknown.

 

SOHR have just reported that Syrian Democratic Forces and “Manbij Military Council” attacked bases and positions of Turkish forces and Turkish-backed factions in “Peace Spring” and “Euphrates Shield” areas, reacting to the military escalation in SDF-controlled areas and latest series of attacks carried out by Turkish forces and factions in north-east Syria.

 

In “Peace Spring” area, SDF attacked a Turkish base and posts of Turkish-backed factions in the surrounding areas of Aniq Al-Hawa and Al-Dawudiyah villages in Abu Rasin countryside in the north-western countryside of Al-Hasakah.

 

While in “Euphrates Shield” area, “Manbij Military Council Forces” attacked a Turkish base in Bondoq village and other positions in Jarabulus countryside, leaving several civilians, including a woman, injured.

 

It is worth noting that Turkish force have escalated their aerial and ground strikes in SDF-controlled areas and areas where Kurdish forces are deployed since yesterday evening. The Turkish strikes were concentrated on infrastructure, sites of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish), oil stations, power stations and factories.
