Homs | Regime tempts fugitives with financial benefits to joint Luwaa Al-Qods

Homs province: SOHR activists have reported that the Military Intelligence of the regime opened the door for recruitment for the Russian-backed “Luwaa Al-Qods” to strengthen military presence in Palmyra in eastern Homs countryside.

The campaign targets people in the age between 18 to 52 years old, especially those who failed to undergo compulsory and temporary service.

The campaign aims to tempt people with financial benefits that reach 900,000 Syrian Liras per month, in addition to insurance for all basic necessities including houses, food and water.

Moreover, the recruitments should commit to working only 15 days per month, making the campaign an attraction in light of the deteriorating economic conditions.

On October 20, members of ISIS carried out an attack with medium and heavy weapons on a group affiliated with the Russia-backed “Liwa’a Al-Quds“ in Homs desert.
Meanwhile, ISIS members attacked a military group known as “Abu Zainab” affiliated with “Liwa’a Al-Quds” in the area between Qasr Al-Hayr and Al-Sukhnah in eastern Homs. This coincided with violent clashes that erupted between both sides.
The clashes left a member of the group dead and two military vehicles belonging to the group and a DShk machinegun belonging to ISIS destroyed, then the attackers fled to an unknown destination in the desert.

It is worth noting that the group’s members had arrived in the area as part of the military reinforcement sent by regime forces and their proxies to the Syrian desert to conduct combing operations and pursue members of ISIS cells, who have escalated their attacks despite the military campaigns and the Russian airstrikes that have not contributed to weakening ISIS members or reducing their capabilities.
