At orders by Turkish intelligence | “Joint force” carry out attack on “Liwa’a Soqur Al-Shamal,” leaving 35 people dead and injured
Aleppo province: Areas in northern and eastern Aleppo countryside have witnessed noticeable escalation of armed clashes among pro-Turkey factions, which left casualties among civilians and combatants.
“Olive Branch” area has witnessed violent clashes with medium and heavy weapons between “Al-Sultan Suleiman Shah” and “Al-Hamzah” Divisions on one hand and “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” and “Liwa’a Soqur Al-Shamal” on the other.
The “joint forces” managed to take control of Ali Karo village in Bulbul district in Afrin countryside.
Meanwhile, armed clashes erupted on the frontline of Kamarok village in Ma’abtaly district of the same area, where the “joint forces” fired mortars on the village.
Similarly, clashes renewed in the villages of Kafr Janneh and Qatmah in Sharan district between “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” and “Liwa’a Soqur Al-Shamal” on one hand and the “joint force” and “Al-Sultan Murad Division” on the other, where the road, which connects Azaz and Afrin cities, was blocked due to the clashes, amid a state of high alert in Turkish bases in Kafr Janneh and Al-Ghazawiyah.
In “Euphrates Shield” area in Aleppo countryside, members of “Ahrar Al-Sham” and “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” have been deployed in Al-Bab city and at the entrances to Qabasin town in preparation for an attack on the positions of the “joint forces.”
Violent clashes also erupted there, where the “joint forces” attempted to take control of the headquarters of “Liwa’a Soqur Al-Shamal.”
Moreover, members of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” attacked, with mortars, headquarters of the “joint forces” and “Al-Sultan Murad” Division in Hur Kalas near Syria-Turkey border.
Furthermore, “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” faction carried out a counterattack on the positions of the “joint forces,” during which they succeeded in taking control of the village of Al-Ziyadiyah and expelling members of “Mohammed Al-Fatih Brigade” from the village.
According to reliable SOHR sources, Turkish intelligence ordered the “joint forces” and “Al-Sultan Murad” Division to attack headquarters of “Liwa’a Soqur Al-Shamal,” while “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” faction intervened to support “Liwa’a Soqur Al-Shamal.”
The clashes left a woman, four members of the “joint forces” and two members of “Liwa’a Soqur Al-Shamal dead and 27 civilians, including three children, injured.
These clashes triggered a state of panic among civilians, especially children and women, amid calls for the intervention of peacekeeping forces to stop the fighting.
It is worth noting that shells hit camps near Kafr Janneh town, spurring civilians to ask for their evacuation.
Cautious calm has prevailed in those areas following the beginning of a temporary ceasefire agreement that ends this afternoon between the two sides to evacuate injured people and open roads for civilian movement.
These developments come as part of Turkey’s efforts to dissolve “Liwa’a Soqur Al-Shamal” and hand over its weapons to the “joint forces.”
