Ongoing violations | Eight civilians arbitrarily arrested including those returning from Lebanon

Aleppo province: The Military Police of Turkish forces arrested a civilian in Al-Ashrafiya in Efrin City while he was extracting a personal ID from the Local Council upon returning from Lebanon, where he was arrested for unknown reasons and was taken to an unknown destination.

Moreover, a 55 year-old civilian from Kondy Mazn Village in Shirrawa district in Efrin countryside was arrested at Tarnada checkpoint for unknown reasons upon returning from Lebanon.

On the same context, the Military Police arrested two civilians working in the field of construction contracts in Jinderes City in western Efrin countryside after detaining them last month, for 5,000 USDs ransoms.

Moreover, members of the Turkish Border Guards arrested two civilians from Hama City while trying to cross to Turkey via smuggling in Bulbul countryside, where they were taken to an unknown destination.

Meanwhile, the Turkish Intelligence and the Military Police arrested a civilian in his 50s upon returning to his birthplace from Aleppo City, for “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration”, while the Turkish Intelligence also arrested a 29 year-old civilian from Maska Village in Jinderes City and took him to an unknown destination.

Meanwhile in Al-Mahmodiya neighbourhood in Efrin, the Military Police arrested a 43 year-old civilian from Ba’adanly for “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration”, after being deported from Turkey.

“Al-Majd Legion” arrested a 35 year-old civilian from Kaila Village in Bulbul district after beating and insulting him, while his mother tried to prevent the arrest, for “demanding to retrieve his car that was stolen by the factions controlling the village” and his fate remains unknown.
