Due to dispute over drug trading proceeds | Civil police arrest five members of “Malak Shah” faction in “Peace Spring” area

Al-Hasakah province: At midnight on Friday-Saturday, the civil police of the Turkish forces raided several houses in Ras Al-Ain city, which is held by the Turkish forces and their proxies, within “Peace Spring” areas north-west of Al-Hasakah, and arrested five gunmen of “Malak Shah” faction, on charges of drug trading.
According to information obtained by SOHR activists, the arrest of the armed members came as a result of a dispute between a leader in the civil police and the detainees, due to their evasion of paying the financial dues to the leader from the proceeds of drug trading in the city.
On October 9, members of Ahrar Al-Sharqiya Faction of the “National Army” arrested five members of the Civil Police at the checkpoint of Mabrouka Town western of Ras Al-Ain in “Peace Spring” area north western of Al-Hasakah, due to disputes over smuggling routes, imposition of royalties on passengers and the insulting of female workers in agricultural fields in the area. This coincided with a state of security tension and gathering by both parties.
