Including two regime officers | 12 people killed and wounded in 11 incidents of security disorder in Daraa since early October
Incidents of security disorder and clashes between local factions and regime forces, especially with the presence of several armed local groups, continue to escalate in Daraa province, despite the Russian-sponsored reconciliation deals struck by locals in 2018.
The series of attacks in Daraa includes assassinations which target regime officers and members of security forces, especially since the members of some local factions have not handed over their weapons and continue carrying out attacks against regime forces and collaborators with them.
In this context, SOHR has documented 11 incidents of security disorder in Daraa province since early October, which left five people dead and seven others injured.
The fatalities are distributed as follows:
- Two civilians, including a child.
- A man accused of “involving in drug business.”
- Two regime officers.
We, at the Syrian Observatory, hold the Syrian regime and affiliated security services responsible force the incidents of security disorder in Daraa in light of their failure to administrate areas under their control and security safety for civilians and renew our calls to the international community to exert all possible efforts to bring down the current Syrian regime.
