Cutting supply routes of Hezbollah | Israeli forces attack a crossing between Syria and Lebanon

Israeli forces shelled a crossing in Matraba Village near Al-Qaseer City in Homs countryside at the borders between Syria and Lebanon. However, no casualties were reported.

This comes in part of plans to cut supply routes of Hezbollah from Syrian to Lebanon.

SOHR documented 108 attacks in 2024: 89 airstrikes and 19 rocket attacks by ground forces, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 193 targets, including buildings, weapons and ammunitions warehouses, headquarters, centres and vehicles. These strikes killed 257 combatants and injured 181 others. The fatalities are distributed as follows:

* 25 Iranian members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

* 47 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.

* 28 Iraqi persons.

* 75 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen.

* 24 Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen.

* 56 regime soldiers.

* Two unidentified people killed in a building in Al-Mazzeh
An unidentified person killed near “Al-Moalem” roundabout in Al-Qunaitrah.

In addition, those attacks left 40 civilians, including Yemeni doctor and his wife and three children, two children and eight women, dead and nearly 52 other civilians injured.

It is worth noting that one of those attacks killed Baraa Al-Qaterji, a prominent businessman close to Iranians, and his cousin.

The attacks are distributed regionally as follows:

* Damascus and Rif Dimashq: 44 attacks.

* Daraa: 17 attacks.

* Homs: 25 attacks.

* Al-Quneitra: Ten attacks.

* Tartus: Three attacks.

* Deir Ezzor: Five attacks.

* Aleppo: Two attacks.

* Hama: Four attacks.

* Al-Suwaidaa: One attack.

* Latakia: One attack.

SOHR would like to point out that Israel sometimes targeted more than one province in a single attack.
