After closure of Awn Al-Dadat | People shot by smugglers of Turkish-backed factions
Aleppo province: Three civilians including two children were injured in clashes with medium weapons with smugglers of Turkish-backed factions in Al-Tafreaa and Al-Sukariya Villages in Al-Bab countryside north eastern of Aleppo, due to disputes over smuggling people returning from Lebanon, from areas of Manbij Military Council to “Euphrates Shield” areas.
Human smuggling operations increased after the Military Police closed Awn Al-Dadat Crossing in southern Jarablus countryside eastern of Aleppo.
The closure was in favour of the smuggling networks, where dozens of families are still stuck near Awn Al-Dadat Crossing waiting to be allowed to enter to “Euphrates Shield” areas.
A few hours ago, three buses carrying Syrians returning from Lebanon towards the gate of Awn Al-Dadat Crossing from the side of “Euphrates Shield” areas in Aleppo countryside, while the Turkish-backed Military Police closed the gate.
Dozens of families are still waiting to be allowed to enter “Euphrates Shield” areas, amid violations by tribesmen that control the area between both gates of Awn Al-Dadat Crossing.
The military police affiliated with the Turkish-backed factions are closing the gate opposite the unofficial crossings with Manbij Military Council. Awn Al-Dadat crossing is considered the first destination for civilians who wish to move between the two areas, while the military police impose royalties of approximately 150 USD on each person in order to reach the other gate held by the formations working with “SDF”.
