Amid deployment of regime military formations | Russian fighter jets attack ISIS hideouts in Syrian desert

Russian fighter jets executed several airstrikes, targeting positions believed to be ISIS hideouts in east Hama desert and Al-Rasafah desert to the south of Al-Tabaqah in western Al-Raqqah.

This followed bringing in military reinforcement by regime forces, including tanks, heavy canons and troops of the 25th Division (special forces), the Republican Guard Forces and the 11th Division, to the Syrian desert in order to start a combing operation in the area stretching from Al-Sukhnah to Jabal Al-Bishri in the east and Jabal Al-Ammour and Al-Balaas to the west. It is worth noting that Russian fighter jets participate in the combing operation.

Earlier today, SOHR sources reported that clashes with heavy and medium weapons erupted between regime forces and their proxy gunmen on one hand, and ISIS members of the other on Jabal Al-Ammour in east Homs desert and frontlines in Deir Ezzor desert.
