Supported by warplanes believed to be Israeli | Drone strikes destroy warehouse near Jablah city
Lattakia province: Unknown drones which not yet known whether they were launched from inside Syrian territory or from the sea, carried out airstrikes targeting an ammunition warehouse near Jablah city in Lattakia countryside, near the largest Russian air base in Syria, which led to its destruction and huge explosions were heard from far away, with the presence of warships in the sea, and warplanes believed to be Israeli, coinciding with the air defences of the regime and Russian forces confronting the missiles for more than 40 minutes.
SOHR documented 94 attacks in 2024: 77 airstrikes and 17 rocket attacks by ground forces, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 185 targets, including buildings, weapons and ammunitions warehouses, headquarters, centres and vehicles. These strikes killed 250 combatants and injured 177 others. The fatalities are distributed as follows:
• 24 Iranian members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
• 43 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
• 28 Iraqi persons.
• 75 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen.
• 23 Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen.
• 54 regime soldiers.
• Three unidentified persons.
In addition, those attacks left 30 civilians, including two children and eight women, dead and nearly 45 other civilians injured.
It is worth noting that one of those attacks killed Baraa Al-Qaterji, a prominent businessman close to Iranians, and his cousin.
The attacks are distributed regionally as follows:
• Damascus and Rif Dimashq: 40 attacks.
• Daraa: 17 attacks.
• Homs: 18 attacks.
• Al-Quneitra: Eight attacks.
• Tartus: Three attack.
• Deir Ezzor: Five attack.
• Aleppo: Two attacks.

SOHR would like to point out that Israel sometimes targeted more than one province in a single attack.
