Damascus | Son-in-law of “Hassan Nasrallah” kil*led under an Israeli airstrike
Two Lebanese people were killed, one of which is Hassan Jaafar Al-Qaseer the son-in-law of Hassan Nasrallah who was assassinated by Israel in Beirut.
It is worth noting that Israel assassinated his brother two days ago, who is responsible for transporting weapons of Hezbollah from Syria to Lebanon.
The number of people killed by the Israeli attack on Al-Mazza neighbourhood in the western villas has risen to three including two non-Syrians, while at least four unidentified people were injured, following an attack on a three-story residential building that is frequented by commanders of Hezbollah and Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
It is worth noting that Israel launched an attack nearly 500 metres away from the building.
SOHR documented 93 attacks in 2024: 76 airstrikes and 17 rocket attacks by ground forces, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 184 targets, including buildings, weapons and ammunitions warehouses, headquarters, centres and vehicles. These strikes killed 250 combatants and injured 178 others. The fatalities are distributed as follows:
• 24 Iranian members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
• 44 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
• 28 Iraqi persons.
• 75 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen.
• 23 Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen.
• 54 regime soldiers.
• Two unidentified persons.
• Three unidentified people including two non-Syrians in Al-Mazza Villas.
In addition, those attacks left 28 civilians, including two children and six women, dead and nearly 45 other civilians injured.
It is worth noting that one of those attacks killed Baraa Al-Qaterji, a prominent businessman close to Iranians, and his cousin.
The attacks are distributed regionally as follows:
• Damascus and Rif Dimashq: 40 attacks.
• Daraa: 17 attacks.
• Homs: 18 attacks.
• Al-Quneitra: Eight attacks.
• Tartus: Three attack.
• Deir Ezzor: Five attack.
• Aleppo: Two attacks.
• Hama: Two attacks.
• Al-Suwaidaa: One attack.
SOHR would like to point out that Israel sometimes targeted more than one province in a single attack.
