Deir Ezzor province: After midnight on Sunday-Monday, SDF carried out a raid on a house in Al-Shuhail town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, with the support of the “International Coalition” forces and using drones. The operation resulted in the arrest of a person accused of belonging to “ISIS” cells. According to the sources, the forces used loudspeakers to inform those in the house and demanded that the targeted person surrender himself. After that, heavy gunfire was heard in the area.
In a related context, yesterday, the “International Coalition” carried out an airdrop operation, in cooperation with SDF, in Thiban area in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. The operation targeted a member of “ISIS”. Clashes took place between him and the forces, resulting in his death and the transfer of his body.
It is worth noting that SDF had raided his house in 2020, arrested him and imprisoned him in Ghweiran prison. In 2024, he managed to escape after leaving prison and headed to Izaz area in preparation for traveling to Turkey, but he returned to his home about a week ago.
