Joint security operation | Coalition Forces and Asayish Forces arrest two persons in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: Members of a joint patrol of special units of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and International Coalition Forces arrested two persons during a security campaign in the SDF-controlled village Al-Izbah in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The two persons were arrested for “dealing with Iranian-backed militias,” and they were taken to a security centre.

The security operation comes a few hours after the attack which targeted the US base in Koniko gas field in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where SOHR sources reported yesterday that an explosion was heard in the area of the US base in Koniko Gas Field in Deir Ezzor countryside after the base was targeted by rockets by gunmen of a motorbike, who are believed to belong to Iranian militias and to have passed SDF-held areas via smuggling, where warplanes of the US forces pursued them in Azman area in northern Deir Ezzor countryside and they were attacked with machineguns in Al-Telal Al-Abyad area, where they managed to flee to an unknown destination.
