On charges of smuggling and drug dealing | Turkish-backed faction arrests two people in Ras Al-Ain

Al-Hasakah province: After midnight on Tuesday-Wednesday, members of “Al-Malak Shah” faction of the “National Army”, arrested two people in Ras Al-Ain city, northwest of Al-Hasakah, within “Peace Spring” area. Sources confirmed that one of the detainees is a member of “Ahrar Al-Sharqiyah” faction, while the other is a civilian. They were charged with smuggling and selling drugs, without knowing their fate.
On September 6, a member of Al-Hamzat” Faction was killed and another was injured in armed clashes between them and “Jaish Al-Islam” Faction in Tel Half Village eastern of Ras Al-Ain in northern Al-Hasakah countryside within “Peace Spring” area.
The clashes took place following disputes over smuggling routes from “Peace Spring” area towards Turkish territory, where one of the injured people was taken to Turkey to receive proper medication.
