Accused of “belonging to IS*IS and involving in assassinating guard at the central prison” | Asayish Forces arrest 12 suspects in Al-Raqqah

Al-Raqqah province: Members of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) carried out a raid on several neighborhoods in Al-Raqqah city, arresting 12 individuals on charges of “belonging to ISIS.”

According to reliable SOHR sources, the arrested men are also suspected to be involved in the assassination of a security member who worked as a guard at the central prison in the city.

It is worth noting that the guard was shot dead by unidentified gunmen a few days ago.

On September 14, SOHR sources reported that a member of the Internal Security Forces “Al-Asayish” and of “Al-Shably Al-Shalama”, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen near a restaurant in Hesham Bin Abd Al-Malik Street in the centre of Al-Raqqa City, where members of his tribe mobilized in the region in search of the murderer.
