Idlib | Women stage demonstration in northern countryside, calling for release of detainees

Idlib province: Tens of women staged a demonstration in Atmah town in the northern countryside of Idlib, which is controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham.

The protestors called for the release of detainees who have recently been arrested in Afrin city in the northern countryside of Aleppo, after having participated in protestors expressing rejection of the opening of crossings and normalization of relations with the Syrian regime and calling for the restoration of military decision and opening frontlines with regime forces.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that members of the Turkish-backed military police stationed at Kafr Jannah checkpoint in Aleppo countryside arrested 18 civilians, while they were on their way home, after having participated in today’s demonstration in Afrin, during which the protestors expressed their rejection of the normalization of relations with the Syrian regime and called for the restoration of military decision.
