16 days after having been kidnapped | The 8th Brigade brings back two Jordanian drivers in Daraa countryside in cooperation with military intelligence branch
Daraa province: The Russian-backed 8th Brigade in Bousra Al-Sham City in Daraa countryside, brought back the two Jordanian drivers who were kidnapped on August 28 near Mankat Al-Hatab checkpoint on Daraa-Damascus highway.
According to reliable SOHR sources, the handover process occurred in cooperation with the military intelligence branch, which supports a kidnapping gang led by “Mohammad Al-Alwan” known as “Abu Nibal.”
It is worth noting that “Mohammad Al-Alwan” is accused of kidnapping, drug business and promoting drug in the region.
Meanwhile, unidentified gunmen opened fire directly on the car of “Mohammad Al-Alwan” on Damascus-Amman highway, near Shaqra town, leaving two persons, who were inside the car, injured, where they were taken to the hospital for treatment and the car burned down.
It is worth noting that the leader hails from Al-Zabair village in Al-Lajat area in Daraa countryside.
Since early 2024, SOHR activists have documented 256 incidents of security disorder in Daraa province, which left 270 people dead; and they are as follows:
79 civilians, including eight women and 18 children.
83 regime soldiers, members and collaborators with regime security services.
17 men accused of “involving in drug business.”
Five members of the Russian-backed 8th Brigade.
17 ISIS members, including a commander.
58 members of local factions.
Seven persons collaborating with the Lebanese Hezbollah.
A regime dissident colonel.
Two unidentified persons.
A leader of a group working for Iranian-backed militias.
