In preparation for new attacks on SDF areas | Fighters of Iranian-backed local group provided with weapons and intensively trained

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources reported that fighters of Iranian-backed local groups, including members of “Ibrahim Al-Hifel” groups and National Defence, have been provided with light and medium weapons, following a visit by the so-called “Abu Hasan Al-Irani” to “Bassam Al-Settam” in Al-Mayadeen city. The headquarters of the Al-Bakir fighters is located in Al-Hamidiyah neighbourhood in Deir Ezzor city, within the areas controlled by the regime forces and Iranian militias.
This visit came after the graduation of 35 local fighters from “Al-Imam Al-Sadiq” camp located near Al-Hamdan Airport in Al-Bokamal desert, where they underwent a 30-day training course, which included training on the use of light weapons, IEDs and RPG launchers.
In August, the Iranian-backed local groups launched attacks with the support of regime forces, on SDF-held areas on the eastern and western banks of the Euphrates River in Deir Ezzor.
These attacks were preceded by major preparations and continuous meetings between military leaders of the Iranian militias and leaders of the local groups to launch attacks on “SDF” areas, in addition to conducting military training after recruiting local fighters, and bringing in large military reinforcements in the opposite side of “SDF” areas.
