Despite settling his status | Deportee from Turkey die under torture in regime detention centre in Aleppo

Aleppo province: A young “engineer” died under physical and psychological torture in one of the security branches in Aleppo city, after being arrested by the security services.
According to information, the young man had been deported by the Turkish authorities through Bab Al-Hawa border crossing to Idlib city in northwestern Syria. After arriving in Idlib, he worked to settle his situation and paid a sum of money ” allowance” for compulsory service and returned to Aleppo city within regime-held areas, to be killed one month after his arrest, under torture in one of the security branches in Aleppo.
Since early 2024, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) has documented the death of 41 civilians under torture and over poor healthcare in regime prisons and security centres, including a political activist, a university student, a writer, an engineer, an Islamic thinker, a civilian with US nationality and two regime army defectors
