Deir Ezzor | Iranian militias seize properties of displaced people in Al-Bokamal city

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources reported that during the past two days, members of the Iraqi “Popular Mobilization” militia seized several houses in Al-Bokamal near the Syrian-Iraqi border.
In the details, members of the “Popular Mobilization” conducted an inspection tour in the city, searching for empty houses to stay in, and their selection focused on four multi-storey buildings in Al-Jamaiyat neighbourhood in Al-Bokamal city, after the militia confirmed that the owners of these buildings had emigrated outside Syria since the outbreak of the Syrian war in 2011.
Four four-wheel drive vehicles with the logos of the “Popular Mobilization” entered, accompanied by an “Inter” truck used to transport furniture and members of the militia to the houses.
Iranian militias are exploiting civilians and their property to strengthen their influence and gain long-term control over the area on Tehran-Beirut land route, which is of great strategic importance to Iran.
