New assas*sination | Officer ranked as lieutenant kil*led near occupied Syrian Al-Golan

Al-Qonaitara province: Unidentified gunmen opened fire directly on an officer ranked as first lieutenant of the regime forces, in Al-Qonaitara countryside near occupied Syrian Al-Golan, killing him.

The officer hails from Al-Asiba Village in Baniyas district in Tartous countryside.

Since the beginning of 2024, attacks and assassination operations by unidentified gunmen have increased, targeting many officers and members of regime forces, as well as others cooperating with the Lebanese Hezbollah.

On July 4, two regime soldiers were severely injured due to the explosion of an IED planted earlier by unidentified gunmen on the road of a joint military patrol of regime and Russian forces, in Abu Gharah village in Al-Qunaitrah countryside near the occupied Syrian Golan.
