New attack | Israeli forces fire rockets on regime military position near the occupied Syrian Golan
Daraa province: SOHR sources have reported hearing consecutive explosions near the occupied Syrian Golan, which were caused by an attack with rockets fired by Israeli forces on a military post of regime forces in Tel Al-Jabiyah area in western Daraa countryside, where smoke was seen rising from the targeted site and ambulances rushed to the site.
SOHR documented 59 attacks in 2024: 42 airstrikes and 17 rocket attacks by ground forces, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 122 targets, including buildings, weapons and ammunitions warehouses, headquarters, centres and vehicles. These strikes killed 178 combatants and injured 103 others. The fatalities are distributed as follows:
- 23 Iranian members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
- 37 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
- 18 Iraqi persons.
- 44 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen.
- 14 Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen.
- 42 regime soldiers.
In addition, those attacks left 17 civilians, including a little girl and three women, dead and nearly 36 other civilians injured.
The attacks are distributed regionally as follows:
- Damascus and Rif Dimashq: 23 attacks.
- Daraa: 16 attacks.
- Homs: Nine attacks.
- Al-Quneitra: Six attacks.
- Tartus: Three attack.
- Deir Ezzor: One attack.
- Aleppo: Two attacks.
SOHR would like to point out that Israel sometimes targeted more than one province in a single attack.
