Al-Suwaydaa | Young man kil*led in clashes between group of “drug” smugglers and Jordanian Border Guards

Al-Suwaydaa province: SOHR activists confirmed the identity of the person that was killed during clashes between a group of drug smugglers and Jordanian Border Guards, where he is a young man of tribes of Arai Town in western Al-Suwaydaa countryside.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the victim is called “Ali Rida Al-Rabidan”, where he was killed while he was with a group of smugglers carrying out a smuggling operation from Syrian to Jordanian territory. The young man’s parents received a phone call and were informed of the death of the young man and that his body was taken by Jordanian Border Guards.

On June 24, members of the pro-Russian “Eighth Brigade” arrested two “drug” dealers, one of whom was a group leader nicknamed “Juha”, along with another member, after their location was raided and armed clashes erupted between the two parties, in Al-Jizah town, east of Daraa, and the members closed the entrances and exits of the town with the intention of pursuing the rest of the group.

According to the information, the group was within the ranks of the “Eighth Brigade” until mid-2021, before it was dismissed from it, after the many violations they were committing, such as robbery kidnappings, and covering up for criminals and murderers.
