Sit-in protest | Women among residents gather in Idlib city centre, calling for release of detainees
Idlib province: Ant-HTS protests and uprising against the jihadist formation and its leader, “Abu Mohammad Al-Julani,” continue in HTS-held areas in Idlib and Aleppo, where protestors call for the toppling of “Al-Julani,” putting an end to repression practiced by the General Security Service, the release of detainees, the independency of the civil institutions and judiciary and other demands.
In this context, tens of residents, including women, staged a sit-in protest in front of the military courthouse of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in Idlib city centre, calling for the release of their children held in HTS prisons, who had been arrested during the latest demonstrations. However, the protestors’ demands remain unfulfilled.
On June 15, SOHR sources reported that tens of women gathered in front of the military court building of HTS in Idlib city, demanding the release of their sons, husbands and relatives detained in HTS prisons, to celebrate Eid Al-Adha with their families.
