Between executions, assassinnations and killings | 30 incidents of security chaos in Daraa province claim lives of about 30 people most of them regime forces

Daraa province, “the cradle of the Syrian revolution”, is still witnessing continuous developments and major security chaos, represented by the remarkable escalation of violence, targeting and assassinations, especially in recent times.
The province, which is nominally controlled by the regime forces, is considered one of the areas where armed presence is most common, in addition to the spread of the phenomenon of drug abuse, due to the presence of major drug dealers there, in addition to the presence of local factions conflicting with one another. This security chaos leads to casualties among civilians and combatants on a near-daily basis.
This is offset by a complete security absence by the regime’s authority and its agencies, where hardly a day goes by without an incident of killing civilians, assassinating combatants or field executions, without those authorities taking any action to control security and stability.
We, at the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, call on the international community once again to work hard to stop the bloodshed in Syria. The people of Syria have been facing tyranny and oppression in their noble endeavour and cause to obtain justice, democracy, freedom and equality.

According to SOHR monitoring, this month witnessed an increase in incidents of security chaos in Daraa and its countryside, where SOHR was able to document 30 incidents of security chaos, all of which took place in different ways and methods, and resulted in the death of 27 people:

-Five civilians.
-Ten regime soldiers, members and collaborators with regime security services.
-Two men accused of “involving in drug business.”
-One ISIS member.
-Eight members of local factions.
-One person collaborating with the Lebanese Hezbollah

The Syrian Observatory renews its commitment to continue monitoring and documenting all the developments on the ground in Syria including, the massacres, violations, war crimes and crimes against humanity committed against the Syrian people, as well as publishing all relevant statistics and causalities of such heinous acts, and hope to help all the ongoing efforts of bringing the perpetrators to special international courts, so that they do not escape justice for the crimes they committed against the people of Syria.
