Grenade explosion | Civilian killed in Sallamiyah city in eastern Hama

Hama province: SOHR activists have reported hearing an explosion in the western neighbourhood in Salamiyah city in eastern Hama, which was caused by the explosion of a grenade which was on possession of a civilian and killed him immediately. However, it is not known yet if it was an accidental explosion or a case of suicide, where investigations are underway to disclose the circumstances of the incident.

This coincides with the escalating security chaos in regime-controlled areas.

On May 30, SOHR sources reported that a violent explosion was heard, resulting from the explosion of an IED in a car near the university residence on the outskirts of Al-Idikhar residences in Homs city, which resulted in the injury of three people.
