During ongoing armed clashes | Member of Eighth Brigade killed and young man injured in Mahajah town in northern countryside of Daraa

Daraa province: A member of a group of the Eighth Brigade was killed, and a young man was injured, due to the armed clashes erupting since the early hours of this morning, between regime forces, with the support of the Eighth Brigade on the one hand, and a local armed group on the other one, in the northern neighbourhoods of Mahajah town in the northern countryside of Daraa.
Earlier today, During the early hours of today, regime forces fired tank shells on residential neighbourhoods in the northern side of Mahjah town in the northern countryside of Daraa, amid a state of panic and fear among civilians, after storming the neighbourhood by the members and shooting indiscriminately, in search for wanted persons.
Since early 2024, SOHR activists have documented 34 incidents of security disorder in Daraa province, which left 52 people dead; and they are as follows:
– Eight civilians, including three children and two women.
– 19 regime soldiers, members and collaborators with regime security services, including a woman.
– Four men accused of “involving in drug business.”
– Two members of Russian-backed Eighth Brigade.
– Ten ISIS member.
– Seven members of armed local factions.
– A colonel defected of regime forces.
– An unidentified person
