Aleppo | Gu*nmen of Nubl and Al-Zahraaa detain civilians from Afrin and their cars

Aleppo province: Gunmen from Nubl and Al-Zahraa that are controlled by regime forces and Iranian militias cut the road between Aleppo and Afrin, arrested several residents displaced from Afrin to northern Aleppo countryside and confiscated a number of vehicles, where the reasons were not identified.

The militias in Nubl and Al-Zahraa use the residents of Afrin as a pressure card to obtain advantages, by committing kidnaps and blackmails.

On November 6, the Kurdish forces blocked Nubl-Deir Jamal road, following the kidnap of civilians from Afrin living in the northern countryside of Aleppo by pro-Iranian gunmen from Nubl and Al-Zahraa cities.
The gunmen stopped nearly ten cars carrying civilians from Afrin on their way to Aleppo, in addition to those coming from Aleppo city towards areas in the northern countryside of Aleppo, and detained them with the cars in a security centre of them in the northern countryside of Aleppo, without knowing the reasons.
On November 3, SOHR reported that regime soldiers stationed at Al-Ashrafiyah checkpoint arrested ten displaced women from Afrin, while crossing through the checkpoint, on charge of “possessing sums of money exceeding 150,000 SYP and uncustomed mobile phones. The women were taken to a regime security centre.
